Battle drums thunder loudly, like the speech of the Sky God!
The Festival of Fertility is today, and led by a great man.
The High Priest stood proudly, clothed in his regalia and rod;
He leads our people by following his dreams, and as best as he can.
Rattling the ceremonial rod, the high priest danced around the fire.
Burnt in sacrifice to the Sky God were crops, fitting for fertile lands.
Raising the rod above his head, he cried out, for divine favor to acquire.
He desired for rain to visit our people, and to dampen our shifting sands!
Though no tears fell from the sky today, the High Priest nor any people, are worried.
Many are hunter-gatherers, and can still hunt and bring home freshly-killed game.
Even the farmers did not fret, for the blessings of nature are not things to be hurried.
Instead, we honor the Sky God; We cherish his help, and love his great and generous name!
Loving nature like we do comes naturally for us; In explaining it, I don't know where to start.
Our Mother Earth nurtures us, so we try to honor the spirits of both her animals and plants.
Everything we have is from nature; All we can do is follow closely in life's intricate dance.
I will never forsake it, for the very soul of my being prospers within my wild heart!

Very nice poetry! 
It's very interesting how you make rhymes in "long" verses and while this you tell a story. And the ending is touching in my opinion,I liked this poetry!
Also,the title and last sentence "Wild Heart" and referings to "Sky God" and "High Priest" are awesome used there,I don't know,they give a kind of a "magical" touch.
